Cindy, your style is absolutely amazing. Your gallery walls - woow! How should one plan this and what are the steps to make it look great?
“Yes, I really love gallery walls! Usually it starts with a piece of art that I have fallen in love with. Then I look for artworks that match in style or in color. I also make my own art, so I always make sure it matches.
I use different sizes for a playful effect. And do you want to create a gallery wall near the television? Then the Samsung Frame Art TV is a great addition.”
When it comes to kids proof interior, what does it mean to you, and what are your suggestions?
“Many young families are focused on a practical interior, while your interior can be very nice and cosy despite small children.
So that is why I always recommend cleanable wall paint and good kidsproof materials that are easy to clean. Create higher places for beautiful accessories and use wall decoration. That way the kids can’t touch it. :)”
What are the basic tips - if someone wants to color some wall in their home?
“I always recommend a warm base shade. That instant makes it cozy and it is easy to combine with both cool and warm colors. Get inspired via Instagram or Pinterest and start testing. Keep in mind, the colors depend on the light during the day!”
Your pillow cases, blankets, candleholders are sooo beautiful, where do you buy most of your interior accessories?
“My pillows are from HK living, H&M home and HAY. The candleholders are from By Boo and H&M home. These are my favorite brands.”
Garden makeover - what are some small things that make a big difference?
“Definitely pillows in beautiful colors and design. But also accessories, such as lanterns and of course beautiful pots of flowers.”
How did you plan your interior design?
“As an interior designer, I normally start with a mood board. Only I completely fell in love with a poster I saw. That determined the entire color palette of the living room. But I also made several 3D visualizations to see what the best option was for us.”
How has your style evolved over the years?
“It has become a bit more modern, and I apply more color than before. I now also invest more in real beautiful items.”
What Instagram accounts do you like to follow for apartment inspiration?
“Some of my favorites:”
